We have 2 nights here and we will return here twice on this trip, the final time to catch a bus into Spain.
Thus begins the next phase of our trip - cycling through the Alentejo. The bikes from Cycling Central have arrived at our hotel and we set about getting them assembled.
Then off for something to eat. The town is tourist-central so we head for the back streets and find a fantastic restaurant (A Bruxa d'Evora) in restored stable stalls (!!); we had the most amazing egg dish followed by black pork (again) and a lovely red wine.
The main square is full of people. But there are still some quiet back streets.
Tired. Some level of anxiety about this part of the trip - navigation, potentially busy roads, crazy drivers…
